Step 1: Prep the Apple

Rinse and dry the apple. You can use whatever kind of apple you want. I love using Gala apples.

Time to cut it into thin slices. There are a variety of ways you can do it. You can core the apple first and then slice it with a knife.

You can cut the apple in half and dig out the seeds. Then slice it using a mandolin.

The slices should be between 1/16th and 1/8th of an inch thick. It is okay if they aren't all the same thickness.

Place the apple slices in a bowl and then sprinkle some cinnamon on them.

Step 2: Air Frying Time

Remove the air fryer basket and arrange the apple slices flat. It is okay if they are overlapping each other. Sprinkle on more cinnamon as desired.

Place the basket into the air fryer and set the temp to 300F/150C. Cook for 5 minutes. Remove the basket and give the apple slices and shake. Arrange them flat again and replace the basket. Cook again for 5 minutes. Repeat those steps until nice and brown. Remove any slices that are brown, these will be the thinnest slices. And place them in a bowl. We don't want to overcook those. It usually takes about 20 minutes total to cook all of them.

Although they are browned they may feel soft at first. Don't worry they will crisp up as they cool.

Step 3: Serve Them Up

Time to serve up those apple chips. A yummy healthy snack to make using that air fryer. Enjoy!

Store any leftovers in a ziplock bag or an airtight container at room temp.
