Introduction: Simple Flower Art From a Plastic Bottle!
In this Instructables, you'll learn how to reuse a plastic bottle and turn it into a flower! This art piece is easy to create and makes a great decoration!
Supplies
- Several plastic bottles (we used ICE soda bottles)
- Spray paint (we were inspired by the colorful Dahlias in our backyard, so we used a variety of colors!).
- Hot glue
Step 1: Flower
Cut off the top part of the bottle.
Then, cut along the body of the bottle in thin strips. The thinner the better, as the plastic will bend naturally. Stop when you're close to the bottom of the bottle.
Spread out the petals.
Step 2: Bud
For the bud, cut the bottle in half. Cut petals in each half, and remove the bottle top. Bend the petals inward if needed.
Step 3: Spray Paint
Choose a variety of colors.
Inspired by the dahlias in our yard, we spray painted yellow first, then red, orange, and pink.
Step 4: Arrange & Glue
After drying, arrange the layers in a stack and hot glue them together.

SO simple and yet makes such a statement! I love how delicate they look, and the fact you used recyclable bottles. This lends a number of possibilities for the pompom like look. Heat would also add another feature for shaping, too!

Thank you so much! Shaping with a heat is an interesting suggestion.
